John Partridge, HPKA (1962-68)
The Wolfson and Rayne Buildings are student accommodation blocks at St Anne’s college, located between the Banbury and Woodstock roads. Five blocks were planned; only these two were ever built.
There are stylistic similarities between these buildings and the same architect’s Hilda Besse Building just up the road at St Antony’s college.
Hard to photograph from the road; but thankfully Google Earth has great views of these buildings, with a full walk around of the Wolfson Building (to the north), and a partial circuit of Rayne.
